Luggage You carry for air travel is divided into luggage and cabin luggage. The first one You take in the luggage compartment and the second one – take with You on board. Each of these types of luggage is subject to special conditions on the size, weight, as well as the substances and objects which can be carried in it.
All airline companies and destination countries set their own rules concerning the luggage. They should be clarified before the flight and complied with unconditionally.
Luggage preparation
In a suitcase, which You are going to park in baggage, You shall pack the most of those things You are planning to take. Do not leave any labels or tags on it that can mislead airport employees and leave You for some time without your favourite things. Pack neatly and carefully, as poorly packed luggage, from which something might fall out, the airline company has the right not to accept it for transportation. Do not take prohibited items – they will not be taken on board, and may be even thrown away.
Be sure to weigh the luggage, because a slight overweight will lead to unplanned expenses. Weigh individually the hand luggage – it is also limited in weight.
Take in cabin luggage only the most necessary things: documents, valuables, equipment, sanitary napkins, books, glasses. It is not allowed to put into the cabin luggage: manicure sets, perfumes, lotions and bottles with water. It is allowed to take on board up to 100 ml of liquid.
We remind once more: avoid overweight!
Luggage transportation norms
Weight norms of the cabin luggage and luggage at various airline companies are different. In addition, they also depend on class of service, and therefore may differ.
